Hikuu Matcha

Inspired by Jess Alizzi’s green tea matcha creation (not to mention its deliciousness) I was compelled to create a piece of artwork. Since green is also one of my favourite colours, it simply made sense to design something that captured the calming aura which emanates from a nice hot matcha latte. The first piece was inspired by my love for gradient artwork which almost always often is overlayed with an affirming quote. Pair it with a warm green cuppa and you’re starting the day in the right way, if you ask me. The second piece features line illustration of matcha leaves, and a silhouette of her kettle and matcha whisk.

When I got my hands on her matcha, I can honestly say that the hype is REAL. I’ve been to Japan and bought some matcha home and honestly it does not beat the taste of the matcha she has clearly done a lot of research to create. I am forever in awe and (a bit embarrassed to admit) fan girling internally when I got to meet her in person.
