Meet Emily

“ Emily never loved or saw the point of flowers. (gasp!) Sure they were pretty, but because they don't physically last forever, she didn't see them being that practical to buy or receive as a gift. That was until she began planning her wedding in 2019 and was scrolling for theme and colour inspiration on Pinterest and Instagram she became enamoured by the aesthetics of different floral arrangements.

She grew an appreciation for how much they add to the look and feel of a space and quickly discovered how flowers could set the mood and inspire the whole theme of an event. She partnered with a florist, Clare (Fleur and Threads), to design her dream wedding bouquet, and once the wedding was over, all Emily wanted to do was preserve it. That's when she decided to draw her first-ever impression of what would be an everlasting token and memory of the flowers that made her special day magical.

In the same year, Emily and her husband Kenny got the keys to their first home, and one of the first pieces to be hung on the walls was the illustration of her wedding bouquet. It marked two significant milestones for them. From there, Emily realised that her portraits could do the same for her family, friends and clients.”
