Welcome!

Hello! It’s been a long time coming. If you’re here reading this now, thank-you so much for sticking around and subscribing. For your first newsletter, we welcome you to our blog! You must be wondering what on earth you signed up for, but I’m hoping to make this blog somewhere you can look to for inspiration and ideas!

For those who don’t already know me, my name is Emily! I wear a couple of hats. I'm an artist (illustrating your keepsakes, designing your logos, and creating your digital invitations), but I am also a secondary school teacher! If you have been following me closely on Instagram, you will have noticed how I have alluded to making some bittersweet choices in my life. I have recently divided my time more evenly between both passions so that I am able to pursue my goals in both teaching and creative-business ventures. Although this meant I had to undergo many changes, take risks, and make that leap of faith - I hope that it means I am able to continue growing. I am so grateful to be able to do everything that I love and what is wholeheartedly me. And, of course, I couldn't have done it without friends and family, and all of your support.

I also wanted to say a big THANK-YOU for your interest in what we do. Some of you may have had the opportunity to meet us at the Melbourne Wedding Expo at the Showgrounds or the One Fine Day Wedding Expo. Don’t forget that if you came by my stall and scanned your details at One Fine Day, you are eligible for 10% off your next order! This is our way of saying thank you for being a part of our journey. If you have purchased from me before and haven’t yet left a review, I would be so so grateful if you could leave a quick one here. Every bit goes a long way (you will also receive a special thank-you gift with your next order if you have left a review, so make sure you’re identifiable!).

As I continue to explore different styles and define my ‘look’ (for something very exciting coming up), I find myself enamoured by the world of the handwritten, soft, feminine aesthetic. Picture Y2K bows and beads, whimsical frills, delicate pearls, garden florals that transport you to a spring picnic, and carefully positioned fruits woven seamlessly into hydrangea arrangements. This atmosphere is then finished off with a charming monochromatic vintage cake, then surrounded by a palette of pastel or neutral tones.

Although you don’t have to venture too far to nail this vibe, it is an investment. Something like this normally requires a wedding stylist who can source out the right people to bring your vision to life. Some of my favourite vendors are: One Mimosa Please (stationery), Tremella Botanicals (flowers) , Westerly (photography), Bow Creative (wedding planner), Rupert on Rupert (venue), L’eto (dress).
